Seasons and career mode make their returns - each with added bells and
whistles, such as player training in career mode,, to keep things
interesting while again retaining the same core gameplay from previous
iterations.
Opponents feel more intelligent, particularly in midfield.
Space is closed down quicker and interceptions are more frequent -
forcing you to work out new strategies - while tackling remains as
frustratingly, accurately rewardingly difficult as ever. Players slide
in further, allowing for accurate tackles from greater distances but
requiring a greater degree of control.. In the past, one of the most
frustrating aspects of FIFA’s gameplay has been the lack of
aggressiveness to a loose ball or in playing passing lanes from
CPU-controlled teammates or opponents. That has been addressed this
year, but seems to only affect one side, which has created a whole new
reason for frustration.
