2) Review your budget
Han Xianzhang, 18, Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics
Han spent 1,500 yuan in total. His cell phone fees totaled 300 yuan. This part of his spending (mainly used for talking to friends from high school) could be cut down as he begins to make more friends at university. Han spent 450 yuan while eating three meals a day at the school's dining hall. He will likely he unable to cut much from this part of his budget. Since he recently spent 300 yuan on a bike, this cost should be divided by 48 months (supposing that he uses the bike for 4 years), which is 6.3 yuan a month.
Money saving tips
1) Only spend money on things that you need. In li's case, we can suppose the first pair of shoes that Li really needed, the second pair he simply wanted.
2) Small expenses can add up quickly. For instance, a 1.5-yuan bottle of water bought every day can add up to 45 yuan a month.
3) The low-down on high tech. Everybody needs cellphone these days, but buying ring tones, backgrounds and games can get expensive.
