't2-dingo.tar' is the T2 build
system used to create Puppy 4.00 "Dingo".
The file contains all of the source packages. It also contains some
HTML help instructions for using.
Please note, this is very specialised, of interest to a few Puppy
developers only. It does NOT build Puppy from source -- it creates
a heap of raw binary packages only. Do not use this to try and build
Puppy from source!!!
This T2 build package was originally downloaded from "T2-trunk 8.0"
on 15th October 2007, with many individual package updates since then.
It is heavily customised for building a Puppy system.
Note, this T2 system builds a 2.6.21.7 kernel, not
the same as
currently used in Dingo (which is 2.6.23.12).
File 't2-dingo.tar'
this contains the complete set of source packages.
Expand with:
# tar -xf t2-dingo.tar
File 't2-ding-core.tar.gz'
This has only a small number of hard-to-get souce packages. The rest
will be downloaded by the build-script from T2 source repositories.
Expand with:
# tar -zxf t2-dingo-core.tar.gz
Both expand to directory 't2-dingo'.
